Summary

Ech<O is an exploration game made during the Develop at Ubisoft 2023 mentorship program. Bats use echolocation to locate obstacles and catch insects while avoiding predators as they navigate their environment. Ech<O is a relaxing but still challenging exploration experience, inspired from this bat behavior.

How to Play

In Ech<O, the player controls a tiny bat in a deep dark cave, searching for food to sustain itself.

With a controller :

The left thumb stick or directional arrows on the controller can be used by the player to move around in the cave. The A button on the controller allows the player to use a sonar, derived from a bat's echolocation, as a mean to reveal walls, prey, and, unfortunately, predators. You're not the only creature in the cave looking for a snack!

In order to begin a game while on the menu or restart a game while on the end screens, the player can use the A button on the controller.

With mouse and keyboard :

The arrows on the bottom right of the keyboard can be used by the player to move around in the cave. The left click of the mouse allows the player to use a sonar, derived from a bat's echolocation, as a mean to reveal walls, prey, and, unfortunately, predators. You're not the only creature in the cave looking for a snack!

In order to begin a game while on the menu or restart a game while on the end screens, the player can use the left click of the mouse to interact with the Play button.
